To the community

Something you might not know about us at the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics is that we absolutely love what we do here, and we are really good at it. I am honoured to share our new community report with you and to show you exactly what I mean.

Our school prepares regional, national and international learners to excel in both their workplaces and their communities. In the previous academic year, more than 570 Gaglardi students were recognized on the school’s dean’s list for their exceptional academic performance — up 10 per cent from the year prior.

Our students are supported by expert faculty, staff, donors, advisors and community partners, all of whom work together to empower this next generation of business professionals. From supporting students financially, to guiding them through carbon accounting methodologies and complex research topics — it is a lot of hard work. But in the end, we look back on the numbers and the stories, and we are filled with gratitude.

Thank you for supporting our students and our school. Together, we are shaping the future.

The Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics is a natural partner for NRI 3PL due to its substantial work in supply chain and sustainability research as well as its commitment to responsible business leadership. We are excited to support the school by providing funding toward its supply chain research. As a result of worldwide events like the pandemic, inflation and international conflict, supply chain resilience has become top-of-mind for consumers around the world, and the work carried out by TRU Gaglardi will inform future business practices in this area.

I have often reflected on where our community would be if not for TRU and the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics. Daily, we interact with one of the thousands of graduates who attended TRU and work throughout our communities. In addition, we can interact with amazing researchers like Dr. Meng Sun who completed an economic impact assessment of the 2023 Memorial Cup, which will be a lasting legacy providing significant information for both Kamloops and other hosts in the future. Thank you, TRU Gaglardi!

President, Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club
