Delivery Options

The TRU MBA is one of the most flexible programs in Canada, designed to remove barriers to high-quality graduate education. Whether you are an early-career professional, an experienced manager, or balancing work and family commitments, you can customize your MBA experience to fit your learning style, schedule, and career goals.

Students can choose from on-campus, evening, online, or blended learning options, with opportunities to move between delivery formats throughout their studies.

On-campus MBA courses

Starting each September and January, students can complete the full-time MBA program in as little as 12 months. Small class sizes foster meaningful interaction between students and faculty, creating a collaborative and engaging learning environment.

The program emphasizes experiential learning through business cases, simulations, consulting projects, team-based assignments and guest speakers. Global perspectives are integrated throughout the curriculum, while the diversity of our students and faculty enriches intercultural understanding and leadership development.

Evening MBA courses

Many MBA campus courses are available in the evening through TRU’s Multi-Access Learning model (TRU Flex 7). These courses allow students to attend classes in person on campus or participate remotely in real time through a synchronous online connection.

Evening classes are designed for working professionals who wish to continue advancing their careers while completing their MBA. Students joining remotely engage with the same instructor, classmates and learning activities as those attending in person, creating a shared classroom experience regardless of location.

Online MBA courses

Most MBA courses are also available online through Open Learning each September, January and May. These courses are delivered asynchronously, allowing students to complete coursework on a schedule that fits their personal and professional commitments (TRU Flex 10).

Online courses follow a semester schedule with assignment deadlines and key milestones throughout the term. Course materials are available online, enabling students to access learning resources at times that work best for them. Technology-enhanced learning tools support collaboration, discussion and engagement with peers.

Online courses are currently available to students residing in Canada. Any required examinations can be completed through approved online invigilation services.

Blended learning

Students may combine on-campus, evening multi-access (TRU Flex 7) and online courses to create a personalized learning pathway. This flexibility allows students to adapt their studies as work schedules, family responsibilities or geographic locations change throughout the program.

By combining multiple delivery options, students can maintain momentum toward degree completion while accessing the learning experience that best suits their needs each semester.

Part-time study

Part-time study options are available across all delivery formats. Students may choose an individualized course load each semester and progress through the program at a pace that aligns with their professional and personal commitments.

Part-time students must complete all MBA degree requirements within seven years of beginning the program. This flexibility allows students to balance graduate studies with career advancement, family responsibilities and other priorities.
