Whether you're just starting your search or preparing to apply, a campus tour is the best way to experience TRU firsthand. Explore our 250-acre campus in the heart of Kamloops, connect with current students, and find where you belong at TRU.
Campus toursWhat to expect
TRU Kamloops campus tours are guided by student ambassadors or staff from the Welcome Centre. Tours are approximately 60 minutes and give you a full look at campus life.
During your visit, you’ll:
- » Explore campus facilities and learning spaces
- » Learn about programs, services, and opportunities
- » Hear about student life firsthand
- » Ask questions and get personalized answers
Tours depart from the Future Students Welcome Centre (Multi-use Annex, 943 College Drive), and happen rain or shine. Booking is required at least 24 hours in advance.

Visitor FAQ
When should I arrive at TRU for my tour?
Please arrive on campus no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled tour. You will meet your tour guide at the Future Students Welcome Centre at the Multi-Use Annex (Entry 2) where they will check you in.
Where should I park?
We have two free parking stalls in V16 and V17 in front of our office. Paid visitor parking is also available in lots Q and P nearby.
Can I bring guests with me?
Yes! Guests are welcome.
Can I schedule an appointment with a Future Student Advisor or Indigenous Future Student Advisor?
Yes! We encourage you to book an appointment before or after your tour. If you are not able to book in advance, appointments will be based on the availability of an advisor.
What if there is inclement weather?
Our tours run rain or shine, so we ask that you dress for the weather. In extreme heat or cold, the tour may be condensed. If you wish to cancel or reschedule your visit, please cancel through your tour confirmation or email futurestudents@tru.ca.
