Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice
Find out how you can change the world
With TRU's interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice, you can become a leader in the advancement of a just society — locally and globally. This new continuous 16-month program offers a number of completion pathways.
Applications for the September 2024 intake start in October and close on Jan. 31, 2024.
You will get hands-on experience with local and regional social justice issues designed to engage and empower communities. And opportunities to pursue national or international rights and justice projects, so you're confident and competent to act effectively in a global context.
The program draws from all areas within TRU's Faculty of Arts and offers innovative, interdisciplinary courses built and taught by teams of subject matter experts.
After graduation, you will be prepared for work with provincial, national, or international NGOs, various levels of government, and private sector companies that adhere to corporate social responsibility.
If you want to go on to further studies after this program, your MA in Human Rights and Social Justice also provides graduate education complementary to other programs such as Social Work and Law, or further studies in PhD programs.
