What happens in a suspected case of departure from academic integrity?

The Academic Integrity Policy and process has recently changed following Senate approval. The CAI has created new resources to help guide you through each step of the new process. Ensure you understand your responsibilities and are familiar with the updated policy.

Instructor responsibilities

The instructors are responsible for:

  • Making the expectations of the Academic Integrity Policy clear and explicit to students in course materials (including course outlines) and in instructions for assignments and exams.
  • Reducing the occurrence of departures through effective course and assessment design and administration.
  • Engaging in community learning on academic integrity at TRU.
  • Investigating and reporting all suspected departures from academic integrity in accordance with the Academic Integrity Policy and related procedures.
